BioDigest is the result of over 25 years of research in the aquarium industry. It is a concetrated consortium of bacterial strains that work in synergy.
BioDigest is composed of natural bacterial strains selected for their ability to support the effective establishment of biological filtration in the aquarium.
The breakdown of organic waste is enhanced by the presence of multiple heterotrphic bacterial strains in optimal proportions.
These bacteria work together within our consortia, with each strain completing the work started by others. Some strains are capable of biosynthesizing denitrifying enzymes under aerobic conditions, resulting in excellent water purification, reduced nitrate and phosphate levels, and the prevention of algae blooms, including cyanobacteria.

BioDigest’s beneficial bacteria mix of Nitrosomonas, Nitrobacter, and Bacillus is introduced directly to the live rock and substrate, so regular use ensures a healthy and continuous bacteria population in your system.
Simple Steps. Lasting Results.
- Step One - Shake to mix all ingredients for optimal absorption.
- Step Two - Place the cap on the ampoule tip and gently press with your thumb to snap it open.
- Step Three - Turn the ampoule with the open end facing downward. Hold it just above the water surface, place the cap on the opposite tip, snap, and pour the contents.
