Concept:
MICROBIAL MARINE NITROUS is a full-spectrum nitrogen supplement. Corals have been shown to selectively uptake ammonium and urea as their primary nitrogen sources, rather than nitrate. Many studies have also demonstrated that nitrate addition can cause stress to corals
by altering the ideal population of zooxanthellae in their tissue. NITROUS uses USP- and
ACS-grade ingredients to deliver ammonium and urea to your reef. Faster growth, better coloration, and denser tissue are widely reported among those who have switched to ammonium + urea dosing. NITROUS can also be used to start new aquariums, cycling them faster compared to using ammonium alone, due to its wider nutrient profile. Shelf stable for over a year. Dosing pump compatible.
Instructions:
Apply 1 mL per 10 gallons (40 liters) daily for regular use. This is a safe dose and will deliver ~ 0.1 mg/L of ammonia (0.36 ppm of nitrate upon conversion.) Apply 2 mL per gallon (4 liters) ONCE if cycling an aquarium. If transitioning from dosing nitrate, slowly increase the dose of NITROUS weekly by 1–2 mL and monitor nitrate levels until the desired level is reached. When first using NITROUS instead of nitrate, you may observe a decrease in nitrate until the dose of NITROUS is scaled up.
