Acropora-Eating Flatworms (Prosthiostomum acroporae, as well as NAEFW strains) are among the most destructive pests in marine aquaria, stripping tissue and decimating high-end SPS collections. Fauna Marin AEFW X targets these pests at every stage of their lifecycle without harming fish, invertebrates, beneficial bacteria, or delicate SPS/LPS corals.
Rather than relying on harsh toxins that crash bio-filters, AEFW X blocks larval development to prevent metamorphosis into reproductive adults. At the same time, it stimulates natural coral mucus production, boosting immune resilience and creating a protective layer that deters flatworms from feeding.

Usage & Dosing Instructions
Always calculate your system's total net water volume prior to dosing. Apply the dose directly into a high-flow area of the main aquarium once daily at approximately the same time.

Critical Setup Tips:
- UV Sterilizers & Ozone: Turn off UV systems during the treatment period to avoid neutralizing the active compound.
- Protein Skimmer & Carbon: Protein skimmers may remain operational. Turn off or remove activated carbon and chemical adsorbers during the initial hours of dosing.
- Temperature Control: Flatworm reproduction accelerates at higher temperatures. If possible, maintain water temperatures between 23–24°C (73–75°F) during treatment to slow down the flatworm life cycle.
- Completion: Do not stop dosing as soon as visible flatworms disappear. Continue dosing for an additional 3 to 4 weeks to ensure any late-hatching larvae are eliminated.
