The Adaptive Reef x AquaIllumination (AI) Hybrid Refugium Algae Reactor is a device designed for nutrient export in saltwater aquariums. It is particularly useful for reef keepers who may not have space for a traditional refugium in their sumps.

How to use:
- Install the Reactor: Place the reactor in your sump using the provided stand for submerged operation, or plumb it externally using the extension legs and bulkheads.
- Connect the Pump: Attach a pump or manifold to the barb fitting at the bottom of the reactor to provide water flow.
- Choose Algae Type: Decide whether to grow Chaetomorpha or turf algae within the reactor.
- Connect the Light: Power the AI Blade LED light and set a schedule using the MyAI or Mobius app.
- Monitor Growth & Harvest: Regularly check algae growth within the reactor. Harvest the algae when it fills the chamber, ensuring not to remove all of it at once to prevent nutrient spikes.
This reactor is a natural method for controlling nitrate and phosphate levels in your aquarium, promoting a healthier reef environment.
