The ATI Aquablue Special is a high-output T5 bulb designed to serve as the foundation for reef aquarium lighting. By combining the properties of a full-spectrum bulb with an elevated blue peak, it delivers a crisp, cool-white light that mimics the natural environment of shallow-water reefs.

For a well-balanced "standard" reef look, many users find success with a 1:1 ratio of Aquablue Special and Blue Plus bulbs. If you prefer a more "blue" or "actinic" look, the Aquablue Special can be used as the primary growth driver alongside multiple Blue Plus or Coral Plus bulbs.
