Do you charge a restocking fee?

We aim to keep our return policy simple.  When it comes to returns we try to do what's right and help you out.  If it's our fault we fix it, if it's your fault we try to do what's right.  If you are returning an item because you purchased the wrong size, changed your mind or didn't like your purchase, return shipping and/or restock fees may apply.

I am unsatisfied with my purchase. Can I return it for a refund?

  • Returns must be requested and pre-approved over e-mail via sales@saltwateraquarium.com
  • Refunds for unopened, unused products past 30 days will be in the form of Reward Points or Store Credit.

What if my products are defective?

If an item is deemed defective by the manufacture or our expert staff within 30 days of purchase we will allow a return, refund, replacement.  If your item is defective and outside of the 30 day window after purchase we ask that you contact the manufacture directly for warranty support.

If your returning an item because the product was damaged during shipping, doesn't work or something is wrong with the item we will send you a prepaid return label, refund your purchase 100% and/or replace the item at no cost to you. 

My shipment appears to be damaged, what now?

In the event that packages are damaged upon receipt, please notify us immediately. In these cases, we will have the damaged shipment returned to us at no cost to the buyer and issue a new package immediately, provided we have the available inventory at our warehouse.

If you suspect damage has been made to the physical items inside, please do not open the carton and inspect the contents. Once an item is open, we cannot accept the return regardless of any damage incurred during transit.

Each item is thoroughly scrutinized by our team of experts to ensure every product is authentic and untampered with prior to a return being accepted. 

If you have not opened your item and wish to send it back, please consult our Returns and Refund Policy section to see if you qualify for a return.

Affirm Financing & Returns

 

If an order/product is returned because the customer changed their mind and used the affirm payment option.  Affirm charges a 6% non refundable fee.  We will refund your order minus this non refundable fee. Once affirm receives the refund request, the refund amount will show up in your loan timeline within 3–10 business days, and your balance will be updated.  If your refund is less than your total purchase balance, it might not lower or cover your next monthly payment. Instead, you can expect fewer monthly payments, a smaller final payment, or both.  If your refund is more than your purchase balance, you will get back the difference, minus any interest you have paid.
