Product Description
The Sicce AQUA FILTRA 40 is engineered for superior water purification through its multi-stage process. Over time, filter media becomes saturated and loses its effectiveness. The Complete Replacement Media Kit is the official, hassle-free solution to instantly restore your filter's performance and maintain a pristine aquatic environment.
Stage 1: Mechanical & Biological Filtration The journey begins with the 20 PPI (pores per inch) bio-foam sponge. It mechanically traps larger debris and waste while its vast surface area cultivates a healthy colony of beneficial nitrifying bacteria, which are essential for breaking down toxic ammonia and nitrite.
Stage 2: Intensive Chemical Filtration Water then flows through the advanced chemical cartridge. Inside, premium activated carbon adsorbs dissolved organic compounds, tannins that discolor water, and unpleasant odors. Simultaneously, zeolite targets and removes ammonia, providing an extra layer of protection for your fish.
Stage 3: Final Water Polishing As a final step, the fine filter wool pad traps any remaining fine particulates, polishing the water to an exceptionally clear state and ensuring your aquarium looks its absolute best.
Installation and Replacement
For optimal water quality, we recommend replacing the complete media kit every 3-4 weeks. The bio-foam sponge can often be rinsed (in old aquarium water) and reused for a longer period.
- Unplug the AQUA FILTRA 40 filter from the power outlet.
- Remove the filter lid and lift out the entire media basket.
- Slide out the old, exhausted media kit and discard it.
- Unwrap the new media kit and give it a quick rinse under tap water to remove any fine carbon dust.
- Insert the new kit securely into the media basket.
- Place the basket back into the filter, replace the lid, and plug the unit back in. The filter will self-prime and restart automatically.
