Biopellets

A Biopellet Reactor is a type of reactor in which water flows through a special type of plastic bead.  In the process bacteria feed off this plastic bead and use nitrates in the process.   This will in time creates a process where the bacteria colony inside the reactor will use nitrates to feed lowering the overall nitrate level of your aquarium.
