Targeted Nutrition for Frag Tanks and Fish-Less Nano Reefs
The Rod's Food Coral Blend is a specialized, nutrient-dense frozen formula designed for the advanced hobbyist managing systems without fish. This blend provides a comprehensive mix of small-particle zooplankton and marine proteins to ensure optimal growth and vibrant health for all types of corals and invertebrates.
Key Features & Benefits
- Coral-Specific Formula: This is a specialty blend created specifically for fish-less frag systems, coral grow-out tanks, and nano reef aquariums where food is primarily intended for coral consumption. (Note: If you have fish in your aquarium, Rod's Food Original Blend is generally recommended instead.)
- Rich, Balanced Composition: Hand-mixed in the USA with a high concentration of fresh, whole marine animals and essential nutritional supplements.
- High Acceptance & Feeding Response: The unique blending process and fresh ingredients generate an intense feeding response from corals and filter feeders.
- No Unnecessary Fillers: Contains no added gels or food binders, and is not water-packed, ensuring that a small amount of food goes a long way.
- Nutrient-Rich Supplements: Fortified with key components like Omega-3 fatty acids (DHA), astaxanthins, and beta-carotenes to support tissue growth and enhance coral coloration.

Feeding Instructions
- Thaw: Thaw a small portion of food in a cup with a small amount of tank water. Do not rinse, as this will wash away the small, essential particles intended for corals.
- Dispense: Pour the thawed mixture into a high-flow area of the tank, or target-feed specific corals using a pipet or baster.
- Frequency: It is suggested to feed small amounts 1-2 times daily for best results in coral-only systems.
